Getting started using TWiki
Anyone may browse the TWiki. To change it (i.e. add content and edit pages) you first need to set up a
WikiName. This is done by filling out a form on the
TWikiRegistration page.
Submitting the
TWikiRegistration form requires a HTTP-username and a HTTP-password. Provided a HTTP-login has been established for you, the HTTP-username is identical to your login (shell) username, and the (default) HTTP-password is the one given in the motd-message in your login shell. If your
TWikiRegistration form is rejected (i.e. you instead get a page saying «Authorization Required»), the most likely cause is that due to an oversight, no HTTP-login was set up for you when your shell accont was established. To rectify this, send an email to
GisleHannemyr and request an HTTP-login.
After you have registered a
WikiName, you can create and edit most pages (some pages are protected and can only be changed by the
TWikiAdminGroup). To log in to edit a page, use your HTTP-username and HTTP-password.
If you wish, you can also
change your HTTP-password or request to
reset your HTTP-password.
